Schneider, this 8-Day, musical, cuckoo clock was hand-crafted and hand-carved in the Black Forest, Germany. The cuckoo bird calls out, to count the hour; and calls out once on the half hour.
After the cuckoo bird finishes, music is played from a quality, Swiss-made, 36-note, 2-tune, mechanical music box movement. This music box usually comes with the very popular, Edelweiss and Happy Wanderer songs (one plays on the hour, the other on the half hour). However, this song combination may differ in some instances (depending on factory availability). The 36-note music box is one of the largest models, giving you a large range of notes and sounds beautiful!
This clock is over three feet tall! It has a large wooden cuckoo bird, that moves it's beak and wings. It also has 4 very attractive, highly-detailed, wooden hand-painted child figurines, that rotate and turn to the music. A wooden dial with numerals and handcarved hands, made of wood, and a fully automatic night-time shut-off are included features.
The weights have to be pulled up weekly (or every 8 days).
This clock is shown with wooden clock weights (NOT included, but available for purchase). This clock will come with steel pinecone weights, unless you choose to upgrade the weights to the wooden ones.
