This 8-Day, musical, Filagree Tudor style cuckoo clock, by
Schneider, with many interesting details, was hand-crafted and hand-carved in the Black Forest, Germany. The cuckoo bird calls out, to count the hour; and calls out once on the half hour. After the cuckoo bird finishes, music is played from a quality, Swiss-made, mechanical music box movement.
Blacksmith featuring moveable swinging hammer, dancing figurines, mill wheel, and baby stork all move on the hour. Clock has a wooden dial, wooden hands, and a wooden cuckoo bird. Even the dancing couples were hand-painted and hand-carved--made of wood!
There is a silencing lever on the left side of the clock, to silence the clock at night. The weights have to be pulled up weekly (or every 8 days).
