This is an antique vienna regulator clock, circa ~1920 to 1940. The clockmaker is unidentified.
This clock has an 8-day mechanism, powered by the two weights (one is for the time; the other for the hourly strike). A winding crank key is included. The sound of the gong is soft and deep.
The dial is porcelain and is free from breaks and cracks. The door of the clock retains it's original glass and the waviness can be seen in it's reflection when you open and close the door. The top, decorative crown just sets on top of the clock. We suspect that this crown may not be original to the clock, but it is a good replacement. The cables were probably originally cat-gut, but now are brass cables (often found to be replaced on these clocks, as replacement cat-gut cable is not as good of quality as it was originally). The pendulum hangs from the back of the clock case (also typical for vienna regulators).

CONDITION
The clock is in good running condition. When we first obtained the clock, we pulled the movement out to check it's condition and found the bushings to be tight and in good condition. It was oiled and adjusted at that time (and we will service it again before shipping it to you). The clock strikes a long chime rod on the hour. It is supposed to strike once on the half hour, but the clock has recently stopped striking once on the half hour. The left weight drops a little slower than the right one, as a result.
